Cybersecurity Technology Symposium

As evolving methodologies of cyber espionage and disruption continue to grow in scope and sophistication, the federal government has sought to bolster its defenses through the implementation of a standardized cybersecurity framework, influenced by drivers such as FedRAMP, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the Continuous Diagnostics Mitigation (CDM) program, which are designed to enable the detection and elimination of threats in real time. However, agencies must never lose sight of the fact that cybersecurity tools are exactly that – tools that inform agency policy for protecting against and recovering from attempted cyber attacks. To properly calculate appropriate incident response for when cyber assets inevitably come under attack, agencies must develop in-depth data protection practices to inform how and when available tools are utilized.

Join AFCEA Bethesda for the 2014 Cybersecurity Technology Symposium, to discuss next-generation cybersecurity methodologies, how they can be implemented across government and address the best practices for ensured data security and effective incident response.
