Health IT Forum

ACT IAC is pleased to announce the formation of the Federal Healthcare Working Group.  Our goal is to create a community of interest for ACT IAC members who are interested in expanding our support of the federal healthcare community through this long-standing, public-private partnership.  This program will serve to formally develop the agenda for on-going, collaborative, and actionable dialogue in support of better healthcare.

The initial focus of the workgroup will be on health informatics.  Health informatics is more than just the science focused on analysis and dissemination of medical data via information technology toolsets.   At its core, effective health informatics facilitates improved patient, family and population health, and includes patient engagement and accountability.

The Federal Government and industry are working together to address these business needs and challenges. Ongoing coordination is essential to advancing the goals of Interoperability, Meaningful Use, Continuum of Care requirements, population health and other key goals of the health information technology agenda.  Additionally, this partnership must foster, leverage and integrate technology innovation that is rapidly changing the delivery and management of health care.

Please join senior leaders from the Federal and Industry Health Community as we launch the ACT IAC Federal Healthcare Working Group.  We invite you to participate in this important and critical conversation, as we chart the path forward.  ACT-IAC invites you to join us at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC on September 24 from 8-12 for a conversation focused on health informatics and how we can work effectively together to ensure our nation’s success in executing, transforming and managing the Business of Healthcare. This will be a day of introductions and dialogue, panels and workshops, and most importantly, framing the agenda for ongoing opportunities to engage and support the Federal Healthcare Community as it works tirelessly to improve the health and lives of the American Public.
