Federal Health IT Summit
The Federal Health IT Summit will be held on November 19-20, 2014, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. This interactive symposium will examine the IT landscape across a broad healthcare ecosystem that is rapidly evolving.
The Health IT Summit will feature the popular and highly-interactive MITRE-ATARC Health IT Collaboration Symposium, where subject-matter experts from government and industry will collaborate in a small-group setting, focusing on “challenge areas” within Health IT. The outputs of these sessions will then be compiled in a White Paper of industry best practices and lessons learned.
Among the panel topics to be discussed during the symposium: Record Interoperability in Health IT; Mobile Technologies for Health; Leveraging Big Data and Analytics to Enhance Healthcare; Role of Health IT in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief; and Future Technology Advancements in Health IT.
In addition, the Summit will include the Health IT Showcase, where the latest in cutting-edge technology will be demonstrated by leading innovators in the Health IT space. (View list of Health IT Innovators)
The host organization of the Federal Health IT Summit is the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC). ATARC is a non-profit organization that introduces innovative technology from academic research labs to the Federal government and private industry, and provides a collaborative forum for Federal Government, academia and industry to resolve emerging technology challenges.

Dr. Joseph Ronzio, Special Assistant to the Chief Health Technology Officer, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will serve as the Government Chair. Dr. Ronzio will open the Federal Health IT Summit program with a Visionary Keynote speech.
