Safety Seminar: The Benefits and Challenges of Technically Advanced Aircraft
This seminar is the fifth in a series of safety seminars all presented by the NTSB, focused on General Aviation accidents. The 4-hour event will explore some of the causes of these accidents, the current government and industry efforts to prevent them, and resources available to the pilot community. It is designed for pilots, mechanics and other members of the GA community. Pilots participating in the FAA’s WINGS program will receive credit for attendance.
Attendees will experience a unique opportunity, hearing from NTSB investigators regarding how they investigate accidents, as well as the resultant safety efforts recommended to improve the accident rate in this critical area. Attendees will hear case studies of these accidents, with the hope that we can prevent the same circumstances from occurring in the future - with you behind the stick. If only one pilot makes a decision that results in a safe landing, then we will have achieved our goal!
The NTSB has partnered with other organizations also committed to enhancing GA safety, for this seminar. We are pleased to announce the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Federal Aviation Administration will also be participating in this seminar.
As an added feature, pilots who attend the Seminar will receive WINGS credit through the FAA.
Please join us for this important discussion regarding the benefits and challenges of TAA. The seminar is FREE; however, registration will be limited to 200 attendees, so please register early! Details for registration will be provided on the NTSB Training Center website:
