Research Roundtable - Florida 2014



The Center for Digital Education is hosting a Research Roundtable event in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and we hope that you can join us.

IT leaders from some of the largest districts in the state of Florida will be on hand for a special briefing on their technology plans for the coming years. Miami-Dade County Public Schools is the fourth largest school district in the United States with 392 schools and 395,000 students. Broward County Public Schools is the sixth largest public school system in the nation with over 260,000 students in 324 schools and education centers. Broward Public Schools is also a 2014 recipient of the Center for Digital Education’s Digital Content & Curriculum Achievement Awards. Broward was honored for its outstanding work with digital curriculum, digital devices and digital tools for learning. The School District of Palm Beach County is the thirteenth largest public school district in the nation and is committed to addressing the five essential components of learning powered by technology: learning, assessment, teaching, infrastructure and productivity.

The participants will brief the audience on district plans in a variety of topic areas, including computing infrastructure, mobile devices, digital content, professional development, cyber security and their plans to incorporate blended learning models.

This event will allow participants to:
•    Hear directly from CIOs and technology leaders from area school districts
•    Network with fellow industry leaders in the region
•    Learn about the hot issues in the education IT market
