Procurement Division Meeting

The bi-monthly Procurement Division meeting will be held at NDIA on Monday, March 9, 2015. Space is limited to 40 attendees. On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, the Procurement Division and Committee Meetings, with a General Session and Luncheon, will be held at Hogan Lovells, LLP.

PROCUREMENT DIVISION SPECIAL TOPICS FORUM – MARCH 9 

On Monday, March 9, 2015, the two day bi-monthly Procurement Division meeting kicks off with a Special Topics Forum. Mr. Randall Culpepper, Program Executive Officer for Combat and Mission Support working for Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition), will speak from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM about his study of the LPTA source selection method and its preliminary outcomes. Mr. Culpepper undertook this study at the request of USD(AT&L) Frank Kendall to improve the Department’s use of the LPTA tool. Following Mr. Culpepper, Ms. Linda Neilson, Deputy Director for the Defense Acquisition Regulation System, will speak from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM on the annual defense acquisition regulatory agenda. Both are very keen to hear defense industry feedback and views.

COMMITTEE MEETINGS AND SPEAKER LUNCHEON – MARCH 10

On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, following a General Session, the Contract and Acquisition Management, Contract Finance, and Legal Committees of the Procurement Division will meet to work through items on each Committee’s agenda. For lunch, Mr. Gabriel Camarillo, Principal Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (AL&T), will join the Procurement Division to brief Mr. Kendall’s deregulatory initiative, which Mr. Camarillo has led, and describe the changes he recommends to the acquisition process and contracting law.
