Embassy/Defense Attaché Luncheon Series - United Kingdom

NDIA's International Division presents a luncheon with Mr. Steve McCarthy, Minister (Defence Materiel) and key defense staff from the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Washington, DC.

Each year, the International Division organizes a series of luncheons with the Defense staffs from allied and friendly embassies. The purpose of these luncheons is to provide industry with an opportunity to exchange views with foreign government representatives and for embassy staffs to provide industry with informative briefings.

As the UK moves towards a General Election in May, Mr. McCarthy will present an overview of the UK Ministry of Defence's world view, including political and fiscal challenges and will also address current UK capability investment priorities and key procurement initiatives. He will be available for a Q&A session following his remarks. Additionally, Mr. Rob Eason, the Counsellor (Defence Acquisition and Technology) and Mr. Lewis Hedge, First Secretary Defence Acquisition (Policy & Trade), will be in attendance for an opportunity to discuss items of particular interest.
