Outcome Driven Government: Operational Efficiency: DevOps and Agile EA

Transforming the use of enterprise architecture to improve performance and mission effectiveness.

PURPOSE

ODG’s March Workshop will showcase how Government organizations have incorporated agile EA and outcome-driven methodologies to drive operational efficiencies and enhanced performance in support of their agency’s mission and arrive at a baseline of agile EA attributes.

In particular, the workshop will examine how emerging application of DevOps influences agile EA, and how they might work together to align business processes and IT infrastructure to

  • realize cost savings,
  • accelerate delivery,
  • enhance performance, and
  • sustain strategic flexibility.

Join noted IT and EA leaders who are re-thinking how to approach Enterprise Architecture and are succeeding at achieving transformational results.

The purpose of this workshop is to examine case studies and real life examples of what outcome-driven processes and deliverables look like in Government, and closely inspect these approaches that promise to deliver results.  The workshop will conclude with an interactive Q&A and discussion between attendees and invited speakers, facilitated by the moderator.

BACKGROUND

Mission drives agencies. With the move toward digitization and mobility, there has never been more data being generated about a government enterprise than now. This is a big game-changer for EA. It’s time Enterprise Architects rethink how they drive value and deliver mission outcomes.

The value of Enterprise Architecture is in supporting decisions that help agencies achieve increased levels of mission effectiveness through standardizing development, eliminating waste and duplication, increasing shared services, and closing performance gaps.

IT leaders, program managers, and others in Government who need to produce results will learn how to harness the power of EA by joining forces with Enterprise Architects who are applying agile and outcome driven methodologies to drive value across the enterprise.
