Embassy/Defense Attache Luncheon Series - United Kingdom

NDIA's International Division regularly organizes a series of luncheons with the Defense Attachés and Defense Cooperation Officers from allied and friendly embassies. The purpose of these luncheons is to provide industry with an opportunity to hear from and exchange views with foreign government representatives and for Attaché staffs to provide industry with informative briefings.

Our next luncheon will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Army Navy Club in Washington, D.C. featuring Mr. Steve McCarthy, Minister (Defence & Materiel) and key staff from the Embassy of the United Kingdom.

Mr. McCarthy will present an overview of the UK Ministry of Defence's current defense perspectives, including policy and fiscal challenges and will also address current UK capability investment priorities and key procurement initiatives. He will be available for a Q&A session following his remarks. Additionally, Mr. Simon Gadd, the Counsellor (Defence Acquisition and Technology) and Mr. Lewis Hedge, First Secretary Defence Acquisition (Policy & Trade), will be in attendance for an opportunity to discuss items of particular interest.
