The Future of Public Service

AFFIRM After Hours Networking Event for November will be a special event with a focus on "Ensuring the Future of Public Service in Information Technology" and meet Richard Young, the new AFFIRM Vice President and CIO of USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. The event will appeal to those that are with the future of public service and willing to share and learn life lessons and keys for success in the Federal IT industry. We have invited several Featured Guests, including Richard Young, CIO, FAS.

The After Hours event is primarily networking-focused event facilitating one-on-one conversations. In addition, there will be a brief 10-15 minute program in the middle of the event that will provide our featured guest with two to three minutes to share some of their success stories and advice to the next generation of IT professionals and change agents. This event is targeted for people developing their IT careers in public service, as well as experienced professionals with experience that they are willing to share. We believe that Federal public service can be supported by employees and their supporting contractors.

We are partnering on this event with Young AFCEA, Bethesda. We are also being joined by Co-Host Monthly Mayhem. There will be a cash bar at this widely attended event.
