Big Data Meetup

Opportunities - And Obligations - of Big Data in a VUCA World by Mr. Mark Haas, CMC, FIMC

The accelerating pave and scope of business, politics, finance, and science often render their meaning and implications beyond our comprehension.  It will be the analytics, interpretations and communication of big data as a science and its practitioners as professionals that will derive that meaning.  We are implicitly responsible for using data to make sense of the VUCA world, a term used to reflect the emerging trends in Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity of information.  Big Data professionals have an opportunity, as well as a significant obligation, to competently and ethically develop the standards, practices and skills to reduce the rising risk and cost of our being data rich and knowledge poor.
