Government Video Expo



Government Video Expo is the East Coast’s largest technology event designed for video, broadcast and AV professionals and features a full exhibit floor, numerous training options, free seminars, keynotes, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and the Briefing Zone, a new educational series.

 

Attendees can learn about cutting-edge video technologies and techniques at the DC Post|Production Conference; distance learning and education technology at the day-long seminar on Video Supporting Distance Learning in the Federal Government, presented by the FGDLA; and drone operation and production at the National Drone Show. All of these events take place concurrently.

 

Featuring conference programs designed to teach, enlighten and inspire, Government Video Expo encourages attendees to get hands-on with the latest video gear in an exhibit hall featuring more than 175 suppliers, dealers and distributors. Held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., this three-day educational event includes:

Washington, DC Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier has spent her entire law enforcement career with the DC Metropolitan Police Department, beginning in 1990. Much of her career has been in uniformed patrol, where she served as commander of the Fourth District, one of the largest and most diverse residential patrol districts in the city. In 2006, the MPD’s Office of Homeland Security and Counter-Terrorism was created, and Chief Lanier was tapped to be its first commanding officer. She was appointed and confirmed as the city’s chief of police in 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nantz Rickard is the president and CEO of DCTV, the public access cable television center serving the Nation’s Capital. Rickard has led DCTV since 1994, and is also one of its founders, having worked since 1987 as an integral part of the leadership team building the center from DCTV’s inception into one of the premiere centers in the nation. With more than 35 years of experience in business management and as a non-profit executive, Rickard (who is also an attorney) provides strategic leadership and management to DCTV, including in the realms of public policy, legislation and cable franchises. This ensures DCTV’s mission is supported with at all levels, and advances DCTV in navigating rapidly evolving industry, technology and community needs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christopher Vo is a robotics scientist who manages the drone and robotics programs at a global Fortune 200 company. Christopher received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from George Mason University, where he developed efficient algorithms for the control and monitoring of robot swarms. He is also the President of the DC Area Drone User Group, one of the largest educational networks of civilian drone users in the mid-Atlantic. Through his efforts at the DC Area Drone User Group, he has taught thousands of people how to build and safely operate a drone of their own.
