Debriefing, Bid Protests, and Size & Status Investigations
In today’s federal contracting market, the source selection process is extremely competitive. As a result, a vast majority of solicitations ultimately involve protests, either from offerors that were deprived of a contract they were legitimately entitled to, or from disgruntled competitors who are frustrated they lost an award. Understanding protests and the procedures relating to protests can make the difference between getting the contract, or getting left out of the race altogether. In this class, we cover all aspects of the protest process. We explain how to use protests as an affirmative tool, walking you through the debriefing process, as well as the who, what, when, where, why & how of filing a protest. We also explain the other side of protests, teaching you how to defend against, or even avoid, protests filed by frustrated competitors. Lastly, we discuss size and status protests, which address the size and eligibility of Small, 8(a), VO/SDVOSB, ED/WOSB and HUBZone businesses.
