WID Service to the Flag Award Program & Reception

Service to the Flag Award:  The mission of this annual award from WID is to recognize members who have served national defense and security, supported military service members, and/or facilitated partnerships between industry and the military. As part of our efforts to honor women in defense, WID reintroduced its Service to the Flag award in 2013 presenting it at the celebration to Hon. Carolyn H. Becraft.  In 2014 WID heard from Secretary Debbie James, Secretary of the Air Force and awarded our Service to the Flag honor to Brigadier General Wilma Vaught, USAF (Ret). And in 2015 our Keynote was from ADM Michelle J. Howard, Vice Chief of Naval Operations, USN.
