Infragard Soft Targets Terrorism Summit

Join InfraGard San Diego, the FBI, San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center, and the City of San Diego Office of Homeland Security for the InfraGard Soft Targets Terrorism Summit. This event will engage national and local experts in a discussion of emerging threats to the United States, including the resurgence of international terrorism and the emergence of foreign-inspired homegrown violent extremism. Special focus will be given to the security and resilience of America’s soft targets, which present unique challenges in terms of open public access and assembly.

Speaker and Presenter Information

Lieutenant Mike Madden of the San Bernardino Police Dept. will present a briefing of the December 2, 2015 Inland Regional Center terror attacks and lessons learned. Lt. Mike Madden was the first officer to arrive at the scene, and he and three other officers were the first to enter in an attempt to locate the shooters. What they and the rest of the world would learn as the events unfolded was that the two suspects had pledged their allegiance to ISIS.
