AFCEA Bethesda Presidential Transition: The Impact on Fed IT

Presidential transitions are always a time of change and uncertainty about the future. While federal services and missions will go on, many government-wide initiatives seem to hang in the balance. The new Administration has the chance to re-prioritize federal IT reforms through budget restructuring and appointments. The current Administration has made huge strides with regards to open data and digital services, and issued directives that underscored technology as powering the mission/business of government. In this breakfast panel we’ll explore technology initiatives that are "too important to fail” and those that may be up for review. We will discuss the onboarding process for the new politically appointed technology leaders, and the potential roll-out plan for their agendas.
