This course provides you with the tools you need to create a less stressful negotiation process and obtain better results. If you’re a veteran negotiator or a novice, you will learn techniques to improve your skills.

 

This two-day Negotiation Strategies and Techniques training course is a practical and highly-interactive experience where students discover more about their own negotiating styles and challenges and then practice scenarios to improve their performance. While the contract negotiation process is thoroughly examined throughout the course, the overarching goal is to integrate negotiation principles and techniques into all facets of the attendee’s professional environment. Attendees should complete the course feeling more comfortable with their skills rather than intimidated by the process.

 

Think of this course as a survival workshop where you will understand basic negotiation techniques and learn to better solve problems, clarify gray areas, make valid points, develop strong working documents, empathize with your negotiation partner, and learn to use a well-developed communication as your guide.

 

You’ll leave with the tools you need to lay the foundation for solid negotiating skills and be able to apply them in various workplace scenarios.

 

Students are encouraged to bring examples of their own negotiation challenges for use in real-life exercises. Ample time is allowed to tailor discussion to unique experiences and problems.
