13th Annual Volk Field Fort McCoy Small Business Conference

This year’s 13th Annual Volk Field – Fort McCoy Small Business Conference will be a two-day event held on July 30^th and 31^st at Volk Field Air National Guard Base and will be hosted by the Juneau County Office of Economic Development and the Wisconsin Procurement Institute.

• Day 1 includes military briefings from Volk Field and Fort McCoy, as well as a variety of workshops to enhance your knowledge of contracting tools and skills. A networking session, will be held after the formal portions of Day 1’s events have concluded.
•  Day 2 includes opportunities to meet face-to-face with State 
   and Federal Government and Prime Contractor Buyers. 

Breakfast, lunch and snacks on both days are included.

This business development event will focus on providing small businesses the tools, information and access to resources needed to enter the government marketplace or increase their government book of business. The event is designed to bring together Federal Agency staff, Prime contractors and small businesses for the purpose of networking, education, round-table exchanges and briefings concerning issues related to supporting military operations, warfighter support and base support and infrastructure needs.

Technical training will be provided on a variety of timely topics including:

·   Critical Infrastructure opportunies
·   Information Security requirements, programs and compliance
·   Manufacturing - supporting military supply chain needs
·   Elements of successful teaming arrangement
·   Resource providers will be available to assist small businesses
    on a wide range of topics including certifications, proposal
    development and techniques for effectively
    managing contracts.

Attendees, will have the opportunity to hear from and meet regional experts, leaders of the community, and potential customers. Adequate time will be provided to network, meet resource providers and take the all-important steps in meeting potential business partners, and developing key business relationships.

Volk Field is located in Juneau County on Interstate 90/94, Exit 55, across from Camp Douglas, Wisconsin.  Lodging is available within a few miles of Volk Field in the surrounding communities of Mauston, New Lisbon and Tomah. 

Discounted registration will be available until June 14, 2019. The registration cut-off date is July 18, 2019.
