The Illinois General Assembly and I are proud to be hosts of the 74th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Legislative Conference. We encourage you to take the opportunity to join colleagues from throughout the region on July 21-24 to discuss our common issues and to identify innovative policy solutions at our family-friendly conference — the only one of its kind designed by and for the Midwest’s state and provincial legislators. For legislators, the meeting will offer a mix of policy sessions on issues of importance to the region and its states and provinces, as well as an impressive list of distinguished speakers. For the guests of attendees, youth and adult daytime activities have been planned in the Chicago area, and we will have evening social events for all participants and their guests.

At the meeting, we will learn from each other and national policy experts, and will leave better equipped to address our respective jurisdictions’ policy challenges and opportunities.
