21st Century Geopolitics of Energy One Day GWU On-Campus and Live Streamed Course

Receive a GWU Professional Education Certificate

Evaluating, forecasting, and positioning for financial and diplomatic opportunities, conflicts, and environmental implications in the 21st Century requires an understanding of the current geopolitics of energy and the risks, vulnerabilities and possibilities posed by shifts in energy markets and political pressures.

The current struggle among Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States is one clear example of intertwining energy and global politics and the course will examine others.

In this one-day GWU professional education course you will
  • Learn the basics of global energy policy and its history
  • Examine several case studies of the current political implications of shifting energy markets and political alliances, and
  • Peer into the future of global energy relationships with an expert panel of former international energy and political leaders.

The course, offered on the campus of George Washington University in D.C. and live streamed, will help attendees claim a 21st Century competitive edge in business, education, nonprofit and government professions. Participants receive a professional certificate from the GWU School of Engineering and Applied Science.
