Automated ISR and Battle Management Symposium
February 12-13, 2020 | American Institutes of Architects, Washington, D.C.
The 8th Annual Automated ISR and Battle Management Symposium encourages members of the DoD, Intelligence Community, military services, and critical organizations to come together to discuss advances in technology and systems to collect and process actionable intelligence in support of decision makers and warfighters. With potential enemies continually improving their aerial denial capabilities, the US will have to develop and field ISR capabilities able to collect in degraded and denied areas at the speed of need. This program will facilitate discussions aimed at enhancing ISR capabilities and emphasizing the significance of battle management systems to fight and win on the battlefields of today and the future.
2020 Confirmed Speakers Include:
Major General Peter Lambert, USAF, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, headquarters U.S. Air Force
Alexander Miller, SES, Science and Technology Advisor, Army G-2
Jeffrey Jennings, SES, Deputy to the Commanding General, United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence
Paul Metzger, Artificial Intelligence Lead, MIT Lincoln Laboratory
Topics to be Covered at the 2020 Symposium:
- Expanding American ISR Capacities in Support of Great Power Competition
- Advancing Army ISR Capabilities in an Evolving Threat Environment
- Exploiting AI to Improve the Speed, Completeness, and Accuracy of ISR Processing
- Training Intelligence Professionals for Near-Peer Intelligence Operations
- Marine Corps ISR Requirements for Amphibious Operations
- Acquiring Systems to Enhance Warfighter’s Understanding of the Battlefield
- Attaining Actionable ISR in Denied Air Space
- Improving Partner Nation Intelligence in a Near-Peer Fight
Why you should attend this year's Symposium:
- This educational symposium will bring together senior Intelligence officials, military leaders, academia, and solution providers to ensure ISR resources are being utilized as effectively and efficiently as possible in support of mission success.
- As America’s potential enemies continue to close the technological gap the demand for actionable intelligence only continues to grow. Advances in enemy anti-air and other area denial capabilities reduce the effectiveness of current intelligence collection methods used by US Forces across the globe. Emerging technologies, such as AI and machine learning, will enable enhanced and more efficient information collection as well as reduce the time needed by the analyst to turn the information into intelligence. With the rise of Great Power Competition, the need for getting intelligence quickly to decision makers will be paramount in maintaining US military supremacy.
- This symposium will feature senior level discussions about advances in modern technology to help collect actionable intelligence better support the Commanders and the Warfighters. With the global threat environment continuing to evolve the need for clear and actionable intelligence collection only continues to grow. This symposium will allow for open and honest dialogue to solve the nation’s most difficult challenges surrounding the efficiency of ISR capabilities.
