Turning Random Acts of Greenness into Corporate Systems Thinking - Sixty Minutes with Jimmy Jia and Joseph Fiksel

Join me, Jimmy Jia and Joseph Fiksel from the George Washington University’s Environmental and Energy Management Institute in a sixty-minute discussion about turning random acts of responsible corporate action into a coherent program to reduce energy usage, improve corporate operations, meet social responsibility goals and apply systems thinking to embrace change and thrive in a turbulent world.

Speaker and Presenter Information

Jimmy Jia’s new book, “The Corporate Energy Strategist’s Handbook“, is hot off the Macmillan press. Jimmy works with boards, executives, and policy makers to quantify energy risks, innovations and opportunities for improved capital deployment of energy and infrastructure assets.

Joseph Fiksel is the author of the seminal resilience text, “Resilient by Design“, published by Island Press, and the one of the original enterprise sustainability and resilience thought leaders. He co-founded the Center for Resilience at The Ohio State University, and later took the role of Executive Director of the Sustainable and Resilient Economy program, forerunner of the university-wide Sustainability Institute at OSU.

Jimmy and Joseph use a systems approach to corporate resilience that you will find enlightening and instructive to move your organization along the road to a decarbonized and sustainable future.

Both are instructors in new George Washington University resilience short courses that I will briefly discuss in the webinar. However, I am bringing them together for the first time to provide their insights for surviving and thriving in today’s turbulent business environment. I will lead a substantive discussion with them and leave a lot of time for audience questions.
