This is Not a Drill: DevOps During COVID-19
This event qualifies for 1 CPEs
An information-sharing event focused on the impact DevOps is having on the Federal Government in handling the uncertain times of COVID-19. The pandemic has stretched both demands for government services and the resources federal agencies have to deliver on their mission. Agencies have been challenged to find ways to deliver more quickly, more efficiently, and with greater flexibility than ever before. In software, these are just the sorts of capabilities we hope to gain from DevOps.
So if COVID-19 has tested our DevOps practices, how have federal government agencies fared so far? This panel will share lessons from the front lines of government DevOps practice. These topic experts will discuss solutions for successfully implementing DevOps methodology, tools, and techniques within Federal agencies in a time of continuous change and telework. We’ll take a moment to share notes from our agencies’ DevOps journeys — what’s working well, what we might learn from, and what we might wish we had done more of had we known the pandemic was imminent.
