A Pathway to Full Integration of Care for Medicare-Medicaid Beneficiaries
In 2018, over 12 million Americans were eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. These “dual-eligible individuals” are more likely to have multiple chronic conditions than people eligible for Medicare only. Historically, this high-need population must navigate the Medicare and Medicaid programs separately, which can result in poorly coordinated care and worse health outcomes. Over the past year, the Bipartisan Policy Center has worked to develop policy recommendations to integrate the Medicare and Medicaid programs to provide a seamless experience for beneficiaries.
Please join our online event on July 27 as we release policy recommendations to improve the integration of Medicare and Medicaid, as well as discuss the impact of COVID-19 on this vulnerable population.
