Public Sector Coffee Hour with George Takei



The Public sector Coffee Hour series is a bi-weekly videocast featuring luminaries from technology, society and the world of STEM. Topics for discussion will include governmental and societal impacts of technology, open source in Sci/Tech/Med., as well as the role of technology and work/life balance.
 
George Takei features in the Star Trek TV series and movies as Hikaru Sulu, and George is also an accomplished author, public speaker and activist.  Adam and George will discuss the utopian views portrayed in Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek, their relationship to open organizations and open source as well as George’s graphic novel ‘They Called Us Enemy’, his advocacy and the intersection of open technology, open culture and the future envisioned in Star Trek.
