Insider Threat Day at JHU/APL

Join the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab for its Insider Threat Day, hosted by the ISSA Central Maryland Chapter!

This event is part of September's National Insider Threat Awareness Month, sponsored by the National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) and the National Insider Threat Task Force (NITTF). Throughout the month, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Defense, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State and other federal agencies are holding events emphasizing the importance of safeguarding our nation from insider threats and to share best practices for mitigating those risks. The goal is to educate federal employees, private sector stakeholders and other audiences about the serious risks posed by insider threats, while encouraging employees to recognize and report anomalous activities so early intervention can occur, leading to positive outcomes for at-risk individuals and reduced risks to organizations.

Insider Threat Day at JHU/APL highlights government and industry speakers specializing in Insider Threats and Data Protection.

This event will take place at the Kossiakoff Conference Center located on the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics campus. The Applied Physics Lab has 12 mission areas, including Cyber Operations, Homeland Protection, National Security Analysis, Special Operations, and Air and Missile Defense.
