JETS II June 2022 Industry Day Announcement

Precision Targeting Industry Days: The Product Manager, Soldier Precision Targeting Devices (PdM SPTD) will conduct a Precision Targeting Industry Day on 2 June and 14-15 June 2022. The PdM SPTD is conducting this Industry Day to present the Joint Effects Targeting System II (JETS II) program schedule, technology roadmap and performance specification. This will be a two phase event broken out over three days with Phase I being conducted on 2 June 2022, and Phase II being conducted on 14-15 June 2022. This will allow PdM SPTD and industry to conduct an in-depth exchange specific to schedule and performance, in order to set conditions for a contracting strategy set to occur in FY 2023. This Industry Day will be conducted as a follow-on to the Industry Days held in July 2021 and October 2021.

Phase I (2 June 2022) will be an open presentation provided by the PdM SPTD program team to provide information with regard to program schedule, performance specifications and contracting strategies that will be considered as part of the next JETS II effort in FY 2023.

Phase II (14-15 June 2022) will be One-on-One to discuss with industry inputs to address performance specification requirements, schedule, and potential trade-space based on Government information that was presented during Phase I. One-on-One briefings will be limited to vendors that are serious about being considered as a prime vendor as part of the FY 2023 effort supporting JETS II. Each potential prime vendor requesting a One-on-One is required to include the following information in the presentation:

  • Description of your overall approach to a JETS II design, including (1) key technologies and their maturity, (2) expected performance, (3) key methods to minimize weight, and (4) modular approach, including how typical operation can be achieved without use of cables
  • Insights into opportunities to achieve the following, including potential changes in requirements that could enable these, and lead to a better overall solution:
    • Lighter Hand-held Target Locator Module (HTLM)
    • Lower overall system weight
    • Design for intuitive operations to allow rapid and accurate targeting
    • Production cost reductions

Each vendor requesting to meet with the Government will be allotted up to 120 minutes to communicate their innovative solutions to the specific focus areas and needs listed above. Each company will only be allowed a maximum of seven (7) representatives to participate in the One-on-One session. Please limit company background information to no more than 1-2 slides and technical slides not to exceed 50. Additionally, please indicate how many minutes your one-on-one briefing time will require, not to exceed 120 minutes.
