Exploring the Intersection: How Technology and Management Work Together in Government
Problem statement: Agencies are falling behind in preparing their teams for both the technology and management needs of the future.
A report from the Government Accountability Office revealed that some government agencies aren’t just using slightly outdated technology, but decades- old equipment. The report found that information systems at the Department of Education, Health and Human Services and the Treasury Department each contained sensitive information dating back more than 50 years. Not only are these systems incredibly old, they need a specialized workforce to operate them, a workforce that is quickly nearing retirement.
Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT for GovLoop’s “The Intersection of Tech and Management: How to Make Them Work Together” Virtual Summit, where we will explore how agencies can take steps to modernize not only their technology, but their management of it, too.
