Counter-IED Training Workshops

As the war in Afghanistan winds down, many regions in the world will be in persistent conflict for generations and the IED will be the primary weapon of choice for decades, by insurgent and terrorist groups. We must contain the spread of IEDs as a global weapon of choice by making them too costly to produce and too risky to employ by Attacking the Network that emplace IEDs, and by training our forces on effective CIED operations.

The domestic IED threat from both homegrown extremists and global threat networks is real and presents a significant security challenge for the United States and its allies. Using lessons learned in Afghanistan and Iraq is essential for the understanding and protection of the homeland from IEDs and terrorist networks. Understanding the international IED challenges will help local, state and federal agencies how to deal with the IED threat.

Building on the past 5 years running the successful Defeating IEDs training workshops in Brussels (Belgium), MKDS Events division is pleased to announce the launch of its flagship event in Arlington, VA (USA) on June 17 – 19, 2013. MKDS’ CIED Training workshops and Technology Exhibition will once again lead the way in providing the latest overview of in-theater Route Clearance operations, Weapons Intelligence (WI), and the use of Home Made Explosives (HME) in conflict areas and in the homeland.

MKDS events division is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of quality practitioners working in Defence and related areas. Our team produces world class hands-on training workshops and Live Demonstrations in collaboration with international government organizations and Key Industry players.
