BP-101 Cost and Pricing for Federal Technology Contracts: Bid, No/Bid Decisions

This event qualifies for 1.5 CEUs

Understanding how the government evaluates contractors’ proposals is a key step in pricing a deal to win.  In this unique course, we review how the government contracting officers analyze contractors’ costs and prices; how they acquire their data; what reviews are performed; how data is validated; and how strategies are changed depending on the type of contract. Armed with this information, contractors can avoid the pitfalls that cause them to lose contracts.

By the end of the course, the learner will be able to explain how the government:

  • Conducts market research to maximize price competition
  • Uses price related data and award criteria to compare prices
  • Accounts for differences between contractors’ proposals to determine price-related decisions
  • Obtains data, assesses allow-ability, and conducts cost analysis
  • Creates work designs for contractor performance
  • Analyzes material, labor, ODCs, indirect, FCCOM, and fee to prepare for negotiations
