AGA Internal Control & Fraud Prevention Training Event

Close to 600 government financial professionals and their counterparts in the private sector will convene to discuss fraud detection, data analytics, cyber security, improper payments and enterprise risk management.

A sampling of sessions include: 

• “Proactive Use of Data Analytics in Audits, Fraud Prevention and Detection,” addressing how to identify high-risk transactions and initiate investigations, ultimately reducing fraud, waste and abuse issues.
• “Improper Payment Oversight in the Federal Government,” featuring federal financial leaders who will discuss regulatory framework, examples of oversight, and challenges in identifying and preventing improper payments.
• “Fraud Prevention Strategies: The Perception of Detection,” a research-focused perspective on using nonfinancial data to detect and deter fraud.
• “Combating Data Breaches – A Cybersecurity Challenge,” during which public- and private-sector speakers will address the steps they take to prevent and mitigate data breaches and improve government security issues.
