Capability Statements may be your most important marketing tool. An effectiveCapability Statement can open doors to over $500 billion dollars that will be won in government contracts. Unfortunately, most contractors make the huge mistake of taking the “one size fits all” approach by providing the same generic Capability Statement for every opportunity.

Attend this class virtually or in-person at our new office.

  • Do you know how to effectively target your Capability Statement to specific agencies, prime contractors and teaming partners?
  • Does your Capability Statement communicate the precise information and qualifications that each decision maker is looking for?
  • Judgments about your company will be made in the first impression you give with your Capability Statement. What does your Capability Statement say to the trained eye—seasoned professional or rank amateur?

A well-executed Capability Statement will provide proof of your qualifications and past performance, amplify your valuable strengths and set you apart from your competition. It is a required passport for all levels of government contracting, including federal, state, city, county and municipalities and is often necessary in government registration processes.

This class will impart the hands-on training and knowledge you need to create a powerful Capability Statement for your company and gain a template to customize and target every opportunity.

You will be instructed by Gloria Larkin, President of TargetGov, a national expert in federal marketing and the creator of the Capability Statement format that has become the standard used by successful contractors and recommended by agencies nationwide.

This interactive class will reveal how to use a Capability Statement to enhance sales and marketing success and will teach you to:

  • Use the right graphics, verbiage, format, and type fonts for impact
  • Identify and write for specific audiences
  • Use keywords to describe core competences and their importance
  • Make competencies target-specific to agency, contract or teaming partner
  • Articulate meaningful differentiators, what really sets your company apart
  • Tailor best examples and format for past performances
  • Positively present a lack of past performances
  • Know what to present and what to exclude in your company data

Bring your Capability Statement to this class for a helpful critique and learn how to make improvements that will put you heads above the competition.

Attendees must bring a laptop, and be capable of using and editing a Word document.
