The Federal budget allocates over $3 billion dollars for modernization of information technology infrastructure. While these efforts will help to reduce operations and maintenance costs through greater efficiency, they will also open doors to innovation and the introduction of new technologies. Several factors are driving this, including increasing mobility and the need to update desktop operating systems on hundreds of thousands of federal PCs.
This front-end view of modernization leads to other requirements, including rewriting, replacing or retiring applications; re-doing the network infrastructure with more wireless; training of the workforce; and updating data centers to accommodate new user technologies.
This webinar will discuss best practices for federal agencies seeking to gain the security, efficiency and performance benefits of a modernized end-to-end IT infrastructure.
