A new web-based training course, Fundamentals: Biobased Products and the BioPreferred Program has been posted on the BioPreferred website and on USDA AgLearn.
Fundamentals: Biobased Products and the BioPreferred Program is designed as an introduction to biobased products and the BioPreferred program for all audiences. It is self-paced but should take 30 minutes or less to complete. It is available on-demand and .5 CLPs are recommended.
The objectives are to: distinguish biobased products from non-biobased products; describe the two primary parts of the BioPreferred program; list federal agency responsibilities for the mandatory federal purchasing of biobased products; and, explain the basics of the voluntary labeling initiative for biobased products.
