Learn how to deal with the obstacles you might encounter as you navigate through Arizona's Public Contracts and Procurement Regulations.
Public projects offer unique and significant opportunities to generate business and accumulate valuable experience. However, many contractors have experienced frustration, either in dealing with the red tape often associated with public projects, or else with getting their foot in the door in what is perhaps unfairly perceived to be a closed network. This topic provides a practical roadmap for dealing with the obstacles and pitfalls contractors might encounter as they attempt to navigate through that red tape and network. Those participating in this program will learn when and how public procurement requirements apply to public projects, plus how to prepare effective bids or proposals, how to maximize chances of being selected for a project and what contractual issues will need to be addressed once the project is awarded. This topic will guide participants through the public procurement process in order to enhance chances of successful involvement in public projects.
