2016 PRESIDENTIAL TRANSITION HR FORUM

The Presidential Administration Transition process will soon have a significant impact on government leaders, managers and employees, and by extension, the government contractors that support them.  

 

Prepare for what lies ahead by attending the “2016 Presidential Transition – Insights and Advice for HR Leaders” Forum on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Embassy Suites D.C. in Washington, DC.  Gain valuable insights and advice from HR leaders with first-hand experience managing prior transitions.

 

Topics to be discussed include:

  • HR Lessons from Past Presidential Transitions – Preparing for Success: What former HR leaders experienced during previous Presidential Transition, and their advice on what to do, and what not to do, as HR organizations prepare for helping current Administration officials depart and new Administration officials arrive. What do new Administration officials need from their HR leadership?
  • Current HR Planning for the 2016 Presidential Transition: What steps are current CHCOs and HR organizations planning to ensure a smooth transition? What guidance does OPM have for Federal HR Leaders?  What resources are available to federal HR Leaders planning for transition?
  • ACT-IAC’s recommendations on the Federal Workforce to the Incoming Administration. Attendees will hear advice our ACT-IAC HR thought-leaders are providing to the new Administration on the primary differences between private sector and federal personnel policies that contribute to a results gap between federal and private sector technology programs, and recommendations to improve government performance.  Considerations on how government should best source needed expertise, and decision criteria on when and how to decide on government employees versus commercial talent acquisition will be addressed.
  • A Leadership Charge: (from key Administration or GSA Lead).  Implementing national change true to American values and principles
