ACT-IAC Small Business Alliance: Department of Defense and Small Business
This event qualifies for 4 CLPs
The Department of Defense makes up a majority of the Federal budget with a significant portion of that budget going towards information technology. As the new Administration is standing up, it is clear a major emphasis will be placed on Defense and a renewed commitment to mission areas that will place an even greater dependency on advanced IT for the warfighter.
As the Defense posture is being redefined with the new Administration, there will be impacts to the respective services, commands, joint forces and the systems that support their mission areas. Pressure will come to make certain we are making advancements in the technology utilization while keeping to a cost and timeline expectations. Agility and Mobility have increasing significance with the need to move useful, adaptable innovation more rapidly to the warfighter. Modernization must occur with minimal to no impact on a broadening mission areas.
