UFC – Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for DOD Buildings:  This course is available to all Federal, State, local government and private sector SECURITY and ENGINEERING professionals.   While the course focuses on securing DOD assets, the concepts learned are prudent and applicable in reducing criminal and terrorist threats to non-DOD buildings, as well.  Contractors and consultants seeking construction contracts with the Department of Defense will attend this course. 

 

The course is designed to familiarize students with the fundamentals of Security Engineering and antiterrorism related to protecting critical facilities from common criminals and acts of terrorism.  Much of the  course  is dedicated to understanding  and applying updated UFC 4-20-01, DOD Security Engineering : Facilities Planning Manuel and UFC 4-10-01, UFC-Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for DOD Buildings and other current supporting security and antiterrorism related documents.

 

Students having already attended the USACE Security Engineering or NAVFAC Security Engineering Planning workshops are eligible to attend the 1-day refresher course, held on the 2nd day of instruction.
