ModevGov: First Ever Conference Dedicated to Public Sector Mobile Development

Originally posted on CTOvison.com by Bob Gourley

We recently told you about ModevGov, the first ever conference dedicated to public sector mobile development, design and management. With this post we want to underscore something else you should know.

This event is free to both government and to veterans.

Many veterans are moving into technology-centric professions including the hot new field of development for mobility solutions. If this describes you please check out this event. Find more at: http://gomodev.com/veterans-admitted-free-to-modevgov-feb-26/

Here is more from my friend and friend Jaimey Walking Bear:

At Modev, the core of our being and purpose is connecting smart, creative people and contributing meaningfully to the education, training, and enrichment of our communities.

We're hyper-committed advocates of supporting the education and re-skilling of our Veterans returning to life after active duty. We can't thank them and the men and women currently serving, for their sacrifice.

That's why we made the decision a while back to let Veterans and active military members into ModevGov (Feb 26 in Rosslyn, VA) for free. Call it us doing our small part to help out with their education--with much more of the same in the months ahead.

It's a high honor to have the opportunity to provide these free resources to the men and women who have made (and continue to make) the ultimate sacrifice on our country's behalf.

ModevGov features a full day of keynotes, training, and case studies for those developing and managing mobile apps and services (or wanting to) for all levels of government. More than 40 speakers are confirmed, and we'll provide you with practical training, success stories of entrepreneurs who've made the transition from active duty to business owner, and countless opportunities to network and collaborate throughout the day.

So if you know a Vet, tell them about ModevGov! And if you're a Vet yourself, be sure to join us at The Artisphere in Rosslyn, VA on Feb 26, with our deep gratitude and admiration.

P.S. Current government employees are admitted for free too!
