IDGA announces speakers, focus, for Forensic Enabled Intelligence 2013

The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) has announced its latest conference: Forensic Enabled Intelligence 2013 (FEI), set to take place April 22-24 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria, Virginia.

According to the group, this event comes just as the Defense Forensics Enterprise takes shape and procurement procedures shift from ad-hoc funding to budgeted expenses. Established by the Department of Defense, the Defense Forensics Enterprise exists to expand the scope of defense forensic capacities and to synchronize efforts among federal agencies and armed forces.

February 1st wrapped up the IDGA Biometrics for National Security and Law Enforcement conference, closing a productive two days of presentations, networking and deal-making.

I attended the IDGA conference Jan. 31, and sat in on a few of the day's sessions to get a sense of what's new in the community and what to expect in the coming months and years from government agencies, independent vendors and the industry as a whole.
