Online video is a cost-effective and engaging tool, but speakers and presenters must be properly prepared.

There are many reasons event managers use live webcasting--to enable more people to experience speakers or educational sessions as they are happening; to convey breaking news or deliver important information in real time; to provide interactivity during a training session or demonstration, and more.

Dallas Convention Center Adding Amenities

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, formerly the Dallas Convention Center, and Omni Hotel complex will get a facelift this year.

Details were released outlining the planned multi-year construction project that is soon to get underway adding 15,000 square feet of retail and restaurants to the area.

While the Dallas Convention Center already offers potential exhibitors access to more than 1 million sq. ft. of exhibit space, including a 200,000 sq. ft. column-free exhibit hall, three ballrooms, a 9,816-seat arena and 88 total meeting rooms, show runners and attendees alike have maintained two points of contention that the expansion is hoping to tackle.

Veteran Tradeshow Industry Journalist Takes the Helm at EXPO Magazine

EXPO, the fastest-moving and most comprehensive brand covering the world of tradeshows and expositions, has named Michael Hart as executive editor, effective Monday, September 10.

Hart is a tradeshow-industry veteran, having served as editor-in-chief of Tradeshow Week for eight years. During his tenure at Tradeshow Week, Hart led the build out of an e-media business for that brand and played a key role in the creation and expansion of a variety of awards and recognition initiatives, including the TSW Fastest 50.
