Title: Oracle Engineered Systems Enables ET to Phone Home
Format: Partner - Dynamic Systems Inc (DSI) Led
Room: George Washington University
Speaker:
Mike Williams, Sales/Systems Engineer , DSI
Abstract:
Complex architectures can be costly and hard to manage. It is hard enough to orchestrate a complete and economical solution here on earth let alone reaching into deep space to communicate with satellites that roam and operate at the fringes of our solar system. Being able to consolidate computing resources around the world, manage the entire infrastructure from a single system console, and lowering operational and service costs to fit within ever diminishing budgets is enough to send anybody into orbit (figuratively speaking). Deploying Oracle's Engineer Systems based on converged architecture and working with Dynamic Systems, Inc. to provide the necessary support and services enabled JPL to achieve their mission objectives and provide the infrastructure needed to support the Deep Space Network and other JPL related programs.

Many agencies are considering moving their applications from on-premises data centers to either a private Cloud Service Provider (CSP) or a public CSP. By adopting an approach for Software Designed Networks and Virtual Networking, Oracle Consulting Services can help agencies move more quickly and efficiently, saving time and reducing risks. This new assessment and lift-and-shift approach can be used for Oracle and non-Oracle applications in on-premises data centers and shifting to private and/or public clouds. This includes a particular emphasis on Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
