Demystifying Cost Accounting Standards - Part IV

This event qualifies for 3 CPEs

This event qualifies for 3 CLPs

Join Dixon Hughes Goodman partners Mark Burroughs and Bill Walter as we co-host Demystifying Cost Accounting Standards with the Public Contracting Institute. This 4-part virtual classroom series is designed to provide a basic understanding of how to work within the fundamental requirements of the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) in understandable, easy to understand plain English business terms.

The Cost Accounting Standards were designed to promote uniform and consistent methods of cost accounting practices for government contractors. Unfortunately, many companies look towards CAS applicability as an overwhelming obstacle to being a provider of quality goods and services to the federal government.

This series will provide a straightforward approach to determining when the CAS applies and when it doesn’t. The purpose and requirements of each standard will be discussed with practical examples to assist in understanding the requirements. Disclosure statements will be “demystified” and CAS administration will be presented so that students can understand the difference between fact and fiction. All of this will be accomplished in easy to manage 3 hour trainings which you can attend virtually or in person at Dixon Hughes Goodman’s Tysons Corner, Virginia office.

Over the series of the 4 virtual classrooms we will discuss CAS administration and compliance, the fundamental requirements of all 19 standards, and the disclosure statement. You can choose to attend an individual session or register for the entire series and save. The series will begin in August and each training will occur on the third Monday of month and will run from 1:00 – 4:00pm (EDT).
