NIST Cyber Security Guidelines

This event qualifies for 1.5 CPEs

The NCMA Free State Chapter Is sponsoring a Breakfast Meeting on NIST Cyber Security Guidelines

President Obama's Executive Order 13636 “Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity” ordered a feasibility study by the Secretary of Defense, the Administrator of General Services and the FAR Council to “address what steps can be taken to harmonize and make consistent existing procurement requirements related to cybersecurity.”

NIST is developing cybersecurity standards and controls that will resonate throughout the government contracting community.  What does this mean to you as a contracts, subcontracts, IT or compliance manager? Find out when Ryan Bradel from Greenberg Traurig LLP provides an overview of the new NIST Guidelines, proposed FAR changes related to the guidelines, and implications to Government Contractors.
