Speaker and Presenter Information

EFC 2010 includes numerous breakout sessions, as well as a few high-end keynote presenters. Washington state Rep. Hans Dunshee will serve as the keynote presenter on the opening day of the Energy-Facilities Connection Conference in Leavenworth. He is a great fit for the keynote slot, as he has long championed energy independence and sustainability. He is currently the Chair of the Washington State House Capital Budget Committee. Also, his Job Bill 2010 (House Bill 2561) received a lot of attention and is centered on energy–related construction projects in public buildings. Our second day keynote is Robert Cowan, the much-lauded Director of Facilities Engineering at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Discover how Bob melded energy initiatives and innovative facilities management regimens into a winning solution to enable a flawless 24-7 operation in the nationally-respected cancer center. Stephen Ashkin is flying in to join us from South Carolina. Steve is well known throughout the professional cleaning, education, healthcare, and building-management industries as the "father of Green cleaning." He played a pivotal role in setting industry standards, promoting environmentally preferable products and advocating for socially responsible practices. Steve will headline the custodial track. Congressman Jay Inslee will join us on the final day of the conference to discuss economic recovery and innovative energy approaches for the new decade.
