Bicoastal Counter Terrorism Summit

The 2010 Bicoastal Counter Terrorism Summit  features several global subject matter experts from US and British Intelligence Agencies.  The Summit is designed to facilitate a collaborative data exchange through a workshop environment.

Monday: Warrior Mindset

The Warrior Mindset is a critical aspect for successfully dealing with high-fear/high-stress situations. This course focuses on what the Warrior Mindset is and how to develop it. Participants will be instructed in practical methods of preparing for; operation in; and successfully recovering from traumatic tactical engagements. 

Tuesday: Active Shooter Campus, Corporate & House of Worship

This course will address a range of threats from simple theft, to shootings, bombings and sophisticated hate crimes. Utilizing elements of training from Special Operations and Elite Law Enforcement, you will learn to identify the methods of targeting, suspicious behavior, pre-incident indicators and techniques of early detection and deterrence. 

Wednesday: Maritime Security and Port Border Awareness

This workshop will explore those methods in which terrorists and threats will operate. Asymmetric terrorist planning, design, and delivery will be addressed, as well as, counter-measures for both water borne vessels and land based facilities and borders. 

Thursday: America's Deadliest Threat

This course covers the history of IEDs, the current global use of IEDs, components, make-up, purchasing, assembly, placement and effectiveness. We will also take a glimpse of possible “next generation” IEDs.

Friday: Islamic Literalist Ideology

One of the greatest weapons used by terrorist organizations against the United States and its citizens is our own ignorance of them. This presentation will disarm that weapon and provide the audience with tools to defend our principles and help defeat their ideology.  We will discuss the radicals’ long term goals for the United States and ultimately what they hope to achieve. This course is a must for all in the conflict with Islamic literalism. This includes our military, policy makers, law enforcement, and educators.
