Regional Collaboration in Cybersecurity: Securing the Cloud, Web, and Virtual Networks



The National Defense University’s Information Resources Management College (NDU iCollege) will be holding its 1st International Conference at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore July 13-14, 2010. The title of this event - “Regional Collaboration in Cybersecurity: Securing the Cloud, Web, and Virtual Networks” – brings together key components of today’s technology while answering the challenge of information security. More than 20 nations are expected to send high-level representatives.

The conference will be co-hosted with The Institute of Systems Science (ISS) of the National University of Singapore. The ISS is known for its broad-based advanced professional continuing education in Information Technology specializing in Software Technology and Engineering Practice and provides industry with Strategic IT Management, e-Business and Knowledge Management expertise. A team headed by Dr. Robert Childs of the NDU iCollege and Mr. Lim Swee Cheang, Director of ISS, has been established to coordinate the details of this upcoming international event. In addition, the NDU iCollege is coordinating with PACOM, the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, and with the CIO of the Ministry of Defense in Singapore to attract the proper audience from regional military and government agencies.

Attendees should be senior-level government and private-sector representatives from the U.S. and Far East regional countries needing to form relationships and collaborate on Cybersecurity matters. Participants should have the authority to enact changes and improvements in their organizations, as solutions and implementation will be discussed. Attendance is limited to 400 senior leaders.
