Discover Global Markets: Middle East & Africa

San Antonio Trade Event - Boost Business through Exports

Businesses can boost their bottom line through exports!

Consumers in Africa, the Middle East, and India together bought more than $130 billion in U.S. products in 2013, with Texas exporters selling nearly $22 billion worth of merchandise exports to these same markets. To help U.S. businesses take advantage of these and other market opportunities, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service is offering the DISCOVER GLOBAL MARKETS export series across the USA in 2014.

The FIRST event in the series is being organized by the U.S. Commercial Service in collaboration with the San Antonio Free Trade Alliance.  Registrants can meet one-on-one with U.S. Commercial Diplomats visiting from Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, India, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and the West Bank for perspectives geared specifically to their individual companies.  Extensive networking will also be available and industry professionals and high-level government officials will offer insights on the region during comprehensive market exploration sessions.

Tap into Export Assistance - During Discover Global Markets: Africa, Middle East & India attendees will learn how the U.S. Commercial Service and its public and private sector partners help U.S. exporters:

  • Identify and gain access to new export markets and opportunities
  • Obtain the resources necessary to succeed in foreign markets
  • Leverage government contacts and resources to compete successfully
