Workshop on Emergency Alerting for the 21st Century



The FCC's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau will hold a workshop on Emergency Alerting for the 21st Century: Leveraging Multiple Technologies to Bring Alerts and Warnings to All Americans.

The workshop will educate stakeholders about the status of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, including Next Generation Emergency Alert System and the Commercial Mobile Alert System and will provide FEMA, the FCC and other Federal partners an opportunity to gather feedback on outstanding issues related to these systems, the National EAS test; as well as the FCC's Next Generation Alerting Notice of Inquiry (NOI).
