Information/Green Technology Vendor Fair

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is holding an Information/Green Technology Vendor Fair on July 20, 2010. The purpose of the fair is to enable businesses to learn about the NRC's information technology product, service and solution contract requirements and other business-related needs.

The fair is scheduled during the hours of 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will take place at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. Check-in is between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., followed by welcoming and opening remarks from NRC's Chief Information Officer, as well as, Directors of the Office of Information Service, the Office of Computer Security and the Office of Administration. The remainder of the vendor fair will be devoted to conducting one-on-one discussions concerning NRC's technology needs for the upcoming years.

NRC staff will be hosting one-on-one discussions with the vendors concerning out IT and Greening priorities in the following categories: COTS and Application Development, Organizational Productivity, Web 2.0, Business Continuity, Enterprise Security, Technology Management Excellence, Cloud Computing, High Performance Computing and Green Technology.

Interested vendors will be required to pre-register at the following NRC web-site: http://www.nrc.gov/public-involve/conference-symposia/vendor-fair/registration.html. Vendors are required to complete the pre-registration form in its entirety. As part of the online pre-registration, vendors are required to select the business categories that they are interested in discussing with the NRC staff. All business categories are open to everyone; however, sessions will be filled on a first-come first served basis. Each vendor will be assigned an appointment time for each category during check-in the day of the fair. Failing to do so may lead to your inability to attend the vendor fair. Due to space limitations, vendor participation will be limited to two representatives from each company. Each registrant will be notified via e-mail whether their registration has been accepted and attendance will be confirmed prior to the date of the fair. Any vendors unable to register will be automatically placed on a waiting list and notified of any cancellations.
